With the Aurora Oktett, founded in 2016, Carl Christian Wittig has established an ensemble that moves freely between jazz and classical traditions. The integration of a string quartet and a jazz quartet comes effortlessly to the ensemble. The resulting wide range of tonal colors and the multifaceted compositions make the Aurora Octet one of the most interesting interdisciplinary ensembles in Germany. In the winter of 2022, under the direction of Carl Christian Wittig, the ensemble released its debut album *Perspective Suite* on nWog Records.
