Schweinfurt-born solo artist building improvised, emotional live sets between UK acid jazz and electronics.
George John hails from Schweinfurt in Lower Franconia and moved from classical piano training to jazz and electronic music production. He describes his live set as far more than that of a "sync-button faker" — radical immediacy and emotional presence deliberately set against dogmatic, industrialized mood music. Using gear such as the Roland Juno 60, Nord Stage, TR8s and NI Maschine, he creates floating, emotional and developing improvised tracks. His career spans cassette and vinyl releases, airplay on stations like Worldwide FM, festival bookings (including Melt Festival 2020) and over 40 internationally released tracks. The single "Full Tilt" was released in 2026 on XJAZZ! Music; his influences include Azymuth, Bugge Wesseltoft and Alfa Mist.
