Hido Selim

Saxophonist Hido Selim's ambient project Breathe in Blue fuses organic and electronic textures with voice, bass and santoor into a meditative, nature-inspired soundscape.

"Breathe in Blue" is an ambient electronic project by Hido Selim - a meditative exploration of nature's stillness and emotion that blends organic and electronic worlds into one immersive soundscape. At its heart, Selim performs on tenor and soprano saxophones, weaving soulful melodies enriched with effects, electronics and intricate programming that blur the line between instrument and atmosphere, while his production crafts a seamless dialogue between acoustic tone and digital texture. The EP features the mesmerising voice of Annike Heikes, whose vocals guide the listener through emotional landscapes; Hans Oberlaender anchors the sound with deeply expressive bass; and Serhan Baki adds the spiritual resonance of the santoor, connecting tradition with transcendence. Together they create an experience that dissolves the contrasts between calm and chaos, sound and silence, human and nature - a meditative sonic journey that invites reflection, stillness and connection.
